FriendsHAUS is a small, private social advisory based in Los Angeles. The work is human, considered, and built on trust. This policy explains the limited information we collect through this website and how we treat it.
A note on how the practice works. Most of what we come to know about a client is learned in conversation, over the phone and in person, across the course of a working relationship. Those conversations are not stored as data. They live, when they live anywhere outside the room, in private notes kept by the founder. This policy addresses the narrower question of information you submit through this website and any related correspondence.
Through the inquiry form on this site, you may share with us your name, email address, phone number, your preference for how you would like us to reach you (email, phone, or text), and a free-text message describing what you would like to discuss on an introduction call. We collect this information only when you choose to submit it.
If you contact us by email, text, or phone after inquiring, we retain that correspondence as part of our private records.
We do not currently use website analytics, behavioral tracking, or advertising cookies. The site displays its typography using Google Fonts, which may set a font-related cookie and pass standard request information (your IP address, browser type) to Google as part of serving the font files. No other third-party analytics or advertising services are in use.
Information you provide through the inquiry form is used to evaluate your inquiry, decide whether FriendsHAUS is the right fit, and respond to you personally. If we begin working together, your information helps us provide that service thoughtfully and follow up over the course of the engagement. We do not use your information for marketing or advertising. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own purposes.
Inquiries are reviewed personally by the founder, J’Net Nguyen. The business uses small, reputable service providers, for email and website hosting in particular, that may technically process information on our behalf in order to deliver those services. Any such provider is bound to confidentiality and processes information only on our instruction.
In the course of considering an introduction, we may share narrowly relevant context about you with a person we believe is a good match. We do not share your contact information, identifying details, or anything sensitive with anyone outside our practice without your prior, explicit consent.
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold. Devices used in the business are passcode-protected and encrypted. Email is processed through reputable providers with industry-standard security. No system is perfectly secure, but the small scale of this practice means very few people ever have any reason to see your information.
Inquiry submissions and related correspondence are retained for as long as reasonably needed, typically the duration of an active or recurring engagement, plus a limited period afterward for our records or to honor any legal obligation. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so, except where we are required to keep it.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request a copy, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to direct us not to sell or share it (we do not). You can exercise these rights by writing to us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. This website and the service are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the effective date above when we do.
