These Terms govern your use of this website and any engagement with FriendsHAUS. By submitting an inquiry, beginning an engagement, or otherwise using this site, you agree to these Terms.
FriendsHAUS is a private social advisory based in Los Angeles. We offer thoughtful introductions, curated gatherings, and social guidance to a small number of clients each season. FriendsHAUS is not a dating service, a matchmaking service, a networking platform, a club, or a membership organization. We do not promise any specific outcome, friendship, romantic connection, business relationship, or social result. We bring care, attention, and considered judgement; the rest is the work of the people we introduce.
All client relationships begin with an inquiry submitted through this site. We review every inquiry personally and reserve the right to decline any inquiry for any reason consistent with applicable law. If your inquiry is accepted, we will offer a private conversation to discuss whether an engagement is the right fit for both parties.
Engagements are structured in three-month intervals at a flat fee, communicated to you in advance of your decision to begin. You may choose to renew an engagement at the end of any interval; renewals are at our mutual discretion. We do not offer trial periods or refunds for unused time, except where required by law.
You agree to provide accurate information when you inquire and during the course of any engagement. You agree to treat any other client, introduction, or recommendation we make with discretion, meaning you will not share names, contact information, or identifying details of anyone introduced to you with people outside our shared circle without consent. You agree to conduct yourself with respect toward the people we introduce you to. We may end an engagement, without refund, if we believe in good faith that you have acted dishonestly, unsafely, or in violation of these Terms.
We hold what you share with us in confidence. You agree to do the same with what is shared with you in the course of our work. This mutual discretion is foundational to the practice. See our Confidentiality Statement for the longer version.
FriendsHAUS does not provide legal, financial, medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. The service is companionship and connection, not counsel. If you are navigating a situation that calls for professional support, we encourage you to seek it from appropriately licensed professionals.
The essays, articles, and other content on this website are provided for general interest. They reflect our perspective at the time of writing and do not constitute advice. The website is provided “as is,” and we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
The FriendsHAUS name, the design of this website, the writing we publish, and the methods we use in our practice are our intellectual property. You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit any of it without our written permission.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FriendsHAUS, its founder, and any affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the website or the service. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the fees you paid for the most recent three-month interval.
You may end an engagement at any time. We may also end an engagement at any time for any reason consistent with applicable law, including for the reasons described in Your responsibilities above.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Before initiating any formal legal action, you agree to first contact us in writing so that we can attempt to resolve the matter informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally within sixty (60) days will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the effective date above when we do. Continued use of the website or the service after a change indicates your acceptance.
